I decided to try Red Robbins so "famous" milkshakes. I ordered a strawberry milkshake and a heart throb(originally not a milkshake)......what ever. Along with an order of sweet potato fries and cheese sticks. The heart throb was ok but nothing to brag about. The strawberry milkshake was not a milkshake. It was missing the milk part of the shake. Lol The cheese sticks and sweet potato fries were ok too but again, nothing special. I can make them better at home. I will give this place another shot for the "milkshakes". Spoke to the manager Jen and she said she would gladly replace the strawberry milkshake for me so we'll see what happens. I really want to like this place.

The first time I came here the service was just ok. We waited long but figured it was because they had just opened. The second time the waitress was horrible we waited 30 min just to get our drinks which she said she had to make herself because she couldn't find the bartender. Today we went it was empty and were waited 15 minutes and were still not seated we got up to leave and the host just said "bye guys" no apology. I will never come back!!!

My son and I spent way too long here, waiting for our lukewarm food in a freezing cold restaurant. There were people who arrived after us, that got their food before us, got their bill sooner, paid and left, while my son and I had to wait, wait, wait. When the waitress told us that they were short staffed tonight, I pointed out to her that the restaurant was half empty, but she repeated they didn't have enough staff either on the floor or in the kitchen. Whatevs. She was even cleaning off a table that no one was waiting for, while my son and I continued to wait for our check. We spent twice as much time there as we planned on, just to grab a burger. And the purple lemonade is awful, we thought it would be tangy like a proper prickly pear lemonade, but it's just purple cane syrup. When we told waitress to take the lemonades back, she said a lot of people don't like those. OK, well, maybe you could have made a different suggestion, then? The only good thing about the place was that the burgers were really good, even though they weren't hot anymore by the time we got them.

I love this place. Didn't really like it at first. But food is good, staff can be a little more attentive. Had one good waiter by the name of Cameron, tipped the guy $30 because he had exceptional skills. Other staff dont care much for. They gave great salads! avo-cobb-o salad is to die for! Great dessert also. Close to the mall so if you want a good burger this a good place. Expect to wait 30-45 min on weekends.

Yesterday was a Snow Day in the Chicagoland area and as such, it seems not many people came to work yet everyone went out for dinner. The restaurant seemed busy, though they only had one section open for seating. Apparently only two servers came in to work which explained the limited tables. I don't remember the servers same, but she was definitely having a rough night and was severely overworked, yet she was extremely attentive and doing all she could to see that each table was not neglected. It was definitely not one of Red Robin's better evenings, but they were doing their best with seemingly limited staff. Kudos to you all!

Was excited to come here...being from California and eating here a lot and all. Haven't got my food...already want to leave. Horrible service.

While we were excited about a Red Robin opening close to home, we wanted to wait past the opening rush the first few days before heading in so they could work out the kinks. We apparently didn't wait long enough. Trying again two days later was pretty much the same result. We were greeted as we walked in for a late lunch and were immediately seated. The seating seems a bit tight. I hope as the opening rush slows that they remove a couple tables from the main area. We were seated along a row of tables that were close enough that we were pretty much part of two additional conversations. Of the waiters we've had one was fairly on top of things but things fell apart when the check was delivered as it too another 20 minutes to get out of there. The other waiter we had, Justyn, left us dumbfounded. He didn't know the way to greet customers, was fairly unknowledgable of the menu and what came with what, and getting the check and then paying the bill was a true pain. Lots of waiting and fumbling. Pricing seems too high. Our average bill with drinks before tip was $44. Burgers or salads aren't supposed to be $11 or more. Get sweet potato fries or mac and cheese and add a couple bucks. $3 for a soft drink?? It's literally just 15 cents of syrup and ice. The restrooms are clean and fresh. But there are no paper towels, just a cool Dyson Airblade. So once you've washed and dried your hands you have to pull the nasty restroom door open. I understand being "green" but I see so many people not wash their hands or not use any soap that I can only imagine what tiny bits are hiding on that door handle. Give me a paper towel to open that door! The food was fairly good but the prices, inexperienced wait staff, high noise level, tight packed tables, and a particulate covered restroom door handle just makes it a place I'm passing on in the future.

I came here with my daughter for lunch and decided to give them a second chance. I was still disappointed with thia location. When we arrived, stood at the front desk and waited for about 5 minutes before someone finally noticed that we were waiting. Got seated and our waitress came up and said I will be right with you. About another 5 - 8 minutes later finally came to take our drink order. After placing our meal in we have been waiting for a LONG time which it seems like they had to run to the farm to get more meat for the burgers. My burger finally came along with my daughter's pizza. Burger was well done to my liking which i ordered PINK in the middle. I didn't want to wait anymore and ate it meantime she never checked back til I was well done eating. There is a lot of laughter in the kitchen and barely paying any attention. Another party arrived and got their food pretty quickly which I was not happy about. So I think I will not return here anytime soon.

Very good service, our server was super attentive and dedicated enough time when one of us didn't know what to order, when the food came everything was exactly like we order... The one star off: they take a bit more than expected to bring the food but then again it was Friday evening I'll try it again definitely!!!

Although this is a chain I'd have to say the burger was a tad above average. Sat at the bar on a slower night during the bulls playoffs. I'd have to say the bartender was on point. She was busting her ass. The only reason they don't get five stars are she quoted me the wrong price for a side of beer cheese and the bathroom floor was extremely slippery with some type of grease or oil. Weird as hell.... The hostess, a bushy headed super cute girl, was extremely gracious in welcoming me and making it clear that if I had any questions to ask. The frozen fries are nothing to write home about, but they do offer some tasty dipping sauces. Overall on a Monday or Tuesday, being five minutes away from the house, you can't beat it. Oh yeah, the beer is overpriced too. That should be expected given it's a chain though.

The little lady "urged" to try this place again -MISTAKE! Run from this place!! The little lady had a great time with my order of fish and chips HOWEVER my order has terrible. I ordered the smoke and pepper WELL DONE and noticed half of it was pink!!!! We told the server who asked if we wanted a new order but we did not want to wait for the replacement (nor risk the same mistake)so we said no. The pretzels appetizer tasted like fish or fries. But we did order some more of the bottomless fries that never came. We waited to see if misty (the server) was going to come back with the fries or ask if we wanted dessert, it was the latter. We got the check, gave only 10% (lucky for her) and left, it is safe to say if I will never come back. The little lady will have to go alone and without me. Plus, it was not busy at all during the time we were there which really ticked me off and no refills on the drinks. Please note: fries are NOT bottomless.

I'm typically not a very big fan of these chain restaurants at all but my aunt has treated me to dinner here twice and both times it was okay. I don't eat burgers (or any meat for that matter) so I order the chicken caesar wrap without the chicken (they actually take a few dollars off the check which is really nice, most places don't do that). For appetizers, we've had the soft pretzel bites with supposed cheddar beer sauce or whatever it's called. That was very "meh." The pretzels themselves had an almost sweet taste and the cheese sauce just tasted like that regular nacho cheese stuff. We've also had a half order of that onion ring tower and I admit that I ate one or two of them. I try to stay away from fried food but sometimes, very rarely, I have an onion ring weakness. So my caesar salad wrap is pretty decent. I don't like their regular fries so I substitute for sweet potato fries. Whatever, the food is decent I guess. It's not a place I would choose to go to but if someone else invites me and they're paying, I'll go along. We used to go to one every now and then when I lived in California but I don't remember enough about it to even recall what the burgers tasted like, or even if I ordered them back then in my omnivorous. days.

Arrived at 4pm on a Sunday. We had a 15-20 min wait, which wasn't bad. The staff was friendly. The food took 15mins and the waitress kept checking up on us. Overall, had a great experience.

  • Honest F.

Food is overall decent and the staff is friendly. The kitchen sent out an obviously old batch of sweet potato fries to the table but the waitress got a new batch without hesitation. Burgers are the safest bet. $3 wedge salad is a great deal.

First introduction to Red Robin, have seen the place here and on travels and always wondered ... well wonder no more. It's along the lines of Chili's or Friday's or that sort of place, better burger than your fast food place, not as good as some of the gourmet outposts that you know or have heard of. Service was friendly, kids got a balloon on the way out would definitely give the a shot again.

Finally a five star. Burger restaurant! My server, Wendy, was the best I've had in a long while. The food was as it says gourmet. I had the Southern Charm burger with sweet potato fries, a tower of onion rings, boneless chicken wings and Classic milkshake! I came with a friend and it was worth every pennies.

My family and I love "Red Robin", so when this location opened 7 miles away from our home, we were ecstatic. We finally had the opportunity to dine at the new location in N.Riverside. Being that it was a weekend, the place was jammed packed; wait time was about 30 minutes. Once seated we ordered our dinner and their famous onion ring tower. Onion rings are always good especially with Red Robin signature sauce. The rest of our order took forever, and once it finally made its way out, my burger was cold. The waitress was just to busy to keep up with the demand. She could have also used a smile. Although our first experience at this new location wasn't a 5 stars, we will be back but definitely not on a weekend.

Horrible service, cold burgers, and ridiculously long wait for food. The whole place needs to be either trained or retrained. When we visited the place was not busy. It still took about 30+ minutes to get our meal. The burgers were cold and disgusting. Will not be back.

Burger taste exactly like a whopper. The place is filthy. A kid dropped a pop when we just got here now ready to leave and still not mopped up. Bathrooms are like a dirty gas station bathroom and right now I have 3 empty glasses on my table from my water never removed a single glass. Absolutely digusting.

The hostess was exceptional. The food was good, better than average onion rings and dipping sauces. The black and blue burger was cooked perfectly but I was surprised that they put some kind of mustard sauce on it. The waitress (Stella) was good. Brownie "bitini" for dessert was excellent. Overall great for a quick burger.

I have been here twice before and the food and service was very good.BUT TODAY , i took my brother for his birthday, and it was a nightmare!!!! We got there at 330 say for about 15 min before anyone came for the drink order.10 min after that still no drinks, another Server came ,and took another drink order and app,order.15 min later the drinks came out with the apps. She ttook the food order burgers,And we Say for another 45 min waiting for the food.I asked for a manager twice. She came ti the table and asked what was wrong,i explained to her everything, she said she was very Sorry,Another 10 min she brings out the food and tells us it was because they broke the took for the egg that went on the burger...OK REALLY ????I would of believed her more if she told me they were waiting for the chicken to lay the egg. If it wasnt my brothers birthday i would of walked out a hour befor that. He picked to go there. And did i mention my burger was cold??The only reason i have it two atada because they picked up the whole check.2 hours for 3 burgers 2 waters a cine and a order of onion rings. The manager never came back to the table. And i did not know that the check was compted until i asked for it. What a Horrible EXPERIANCE. I took away a Star so now they only have one from me.They dont deserve The mother one they never asked my brother if he wanted Desert or suaves him a Happy Birthday and i told them twice. And one more thing we xould not park in the handicap parking because if you did you would have to Wall over snow banks and the walk on a ice filled sidewalk. I Had to let my mother out in front of the door. And park in a regular spit.

I usually love Red Robin but today very dissapointed, went in and has to wait a long time for my drink and on top of that they no longer guarantee medium rare cooked burgers, it's now classified as "some pink" and "no pink", how can you not control how you cook your burgers if your a gourmet burger restaurant? And tavern burgers are only well done?! Not happy.

  • Barry M.

only 2 of us. Just ordered burgers. Took 40 minutes for the food to arrive. Burgers were cold. Server was great. Don't know what happened. I will give them one more try. $14.29 is too much to pay for a cold burger.

The food was okay and the waitress was very nice BUT.. The place was super cold. I wasn't even close to the entrance and it was too uncomfortable to eat.. I kept my jacket on, and noticed others around me were also uncomfortable with the temperature. It felt like i was at a ice cream parlor.. Sorry guys .. Keep ur temperature comfortable not cold.

My friend and I have been anxiously awaiting the opening of Red Robin since we were won over by the fact they have alcoholic shakes on the menu. We went yesterday for opening night of the restaurant and were impressed by how nice the interior and decor were considering Red Robin is a national chain. The bar area (see photo) is especially nice, but may be a bit small considering the size of the restaurant. The restaurant was relatively crowded, but with a party of two, the wait was only a minute. We were sat in the bar area, but our hostess/waitress forgot to get us water, silverware, and napkins. We waited about 5 minutes before being addressed by our waitress, who was friendly and accommodating, but who one could tell that she was new to the waitressing game. We ordered our drinks and dinner all together, since we were in a bit of a rush and wanted to see how quick they could churn out entrees. We got our food in a short amount of time considering how chaotic it seemed at times for their opening night, but the food turned out well-cooked and prepared correctly for both of our meals. i ordered the special burger (I'm blanking on the name of it) which had cheddar, candied bacon, and a pretty tasty BBQ sauce. I ordered this with onion rings (big winner) and a Jim Beam Bacon &Booze shake (or whatever nonsense name they gave it), which was boozy but tasty. The burger was a bit short on the flavor side considering its toppings but the BBQ helped make up for this deficiency. My friend ordered a burger as well and said much of the same. The only major critique I had for the experience was that once we got our bill, it took the waitress about 12 minutes to come get our bill with my card, which was slightly annoying. But overall, a mostly pleasing experience, even though it is a bit over-priced (we payed $38 before tip for two burgers, sides, and shakes).

Had the Boca burger and it was very good. My daughter and I have been here 4 or 5 times and the waitress Michelle always is very nice and remembers us. We met the GM Louis ( who actually recommended the Boca burger) and talked with him a little bit. Very nice guy. Come visit RR in NR.

It was a Monday night I had my 5 year old daughter with me and my mom and we went to dinner it was around 7:30pm. We were seated really quickly. Waitresses kept walking by 10 minutes passed and no one ever served us. We ended walking out and going somewhere else. If they cannot manage tables when they are slow i can only imagine what it is like when it is busy. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I was so excited to eat here for the very first time it's a shame that my experience here was terrible and I will never be back to eat here again. I went on 11/16/14 for a quick lunch which turned into a 2 hour situation..mind you I ordered a cold croissant turkey sandwich and my bf ordered a burger. Firstly, we were seated by the bar area which then we sat there for 20 minutes and had to get up and ask for a waitress. Not only did they mess up our order twice after that ..then upon paying we asked for the check and waited another 25 minutes just to get it. All in all the food wasn't that great ..I ordered a cold sandwich my bf ordered a plain cheeseburger..how do u mess that up...twice!? Regardless, we will not be back.

This place has great burgers and their appetizers are horrible accept for the mushrooms, the aisles and eating area's are to small and tight, bar area has not enough seating.Whoever designed it should have made it 1 big open area instead of 3 small crammed rooms.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I'm a big Red Robin fan, but this location has awful service. After we were seated, our waitress came and took our orders, and then she disappeared! After 40 minutes, someone else brought our food to the table with items missing/incorrect. I waited another 15 minutes for a small cup of soup (that my 2 year old wanted) . Our waitress finally showed up, mumbling, not making any sense. She stopped over at our table a couple more times asking if things are ok and taking off. Not once did she ask if we needed a drink refill (which we did) or bring us a new glass of water on her own. She would just leave! The service was the worst service that I have ever received. Shame on you Red Robin. This kind of an experience should never happen to anyone, especially a paying customer.

Absolutely fantastic! First time being to a Red Robin ever and I definitely want to go back! My friend and I were seated right away, no wait! The food was soooo good, I was so impressed! Our server was Adrian and he couldn't have made anymore of perfect timing while serving us! He was so polite and totally on top of his game! We needed our checks split and before we even asked he showed up with our own checks, it was so nice!(: Just a friendly reminder that this is still a new establishment and people should try to understand that, they're still working on improving any flaws. Bear with them, Rome wasn't built in a day!(:

My wife and I decide to finally give in and try Red Robin on a Sunday for dinner. Upon arrival the experience seemed to be heading south. We waited about 10min until someone finally came to us explaining that their was a mix up on who would be attending us,but he took our drink order. I loved that they carried local craft beer for a big chain restaurant and not just your typical drafts. So of course I went with an Anti Hero!! Our waiter came about 5 minutes later (Tatiana) and took out order. It's our first time here so I just went with a basic bacon burger and my wife with the BBQ burger which she loved. How ever we ordered our 2 year old son a cheese pizza kids meal. Once our meal came we noticed our sons pizza was missing but figured it would be come right up. In the mean time he was enjoying the steak fries. 15 minutes passed and our pizza never arrived. We got our waiters attention and was very sorry they had not brought it out and told us it would be free of charge due to the mistake. So we once again ordered the cheese pizza ,but when it finally came in it wasn't cheese it was pepperoni which my son isn't a fan of at all. By now we've already been here for almost 45minutes my wife and already done with our burgers as well as my son having shared some of our dinner with him. We got the waiters attention again and explained to her the mistake once again. She was truly embarrassed of the mistake and the ordeal that had been caused so they just went ahead and gave us our whole meal for free. I giving it 4 stars because it's a kid friendly place lots of kids and balloons to entertain them, you can imagine how hard it is to keep a toddler entertained for that long. The food was good nothing out of this world, but my wife became a fan of the BBQ burger and of course the endless fries. Most importantly I really liked the way they handled the situation. We all make mistakes I don't expect everything and everyone to be perfect as I myself at work make endless amounts of them. It's always about making them right and the costumer being happy. Def going back soon!!

It was delicious! I've read some reviews..and seen allot of one & two stars...so maybe I just caught them on a good day...which was today 01/16/15.... but the service and food were delicious! Our server Sebastian was very attentive checking on us at least 4 times making sure we were satisfied or wanted anything else.... the food was really good..my husband had the chicken which was very good he said.. In my opinion their burgers are better than the chicken at Red Robin.. I had the blu cheese burger which was sooo good also I had the new England clam chowder soup which was very tasty and to drink I had the strawberry lemonade with vodka!! Im not a drinker..so just the hint of vodka was perfect! It was the best tasting drink with strawberries ever!! It wasn't so pricy either it cost $40 for both of us.. I will defiantly be going back!

Food is OK, service is slow. We went there last weekend and ordered a burger, the fish and chips and a kid meal of mac & cheese. The food tasted fine and although we didn't need extra helpings of the 'bottomless fries', it was nice to have the option. We also ordered some beer and their selection is good, including your usual name brand bottles and tap. The service was slow. Although our server was nice, he took forever to take our order and the food took something like 15 minutes to come. The place was busy, which could mean they need more waiters/waitresses... or more efficient ones.

Not good enuf for me. Greasy patties do not make a gourmet burger. The burger toppings were tasty. I had the DGB and was underwhelmed. The wife had the salad. The dressing seemed straight from the gallon jug. While she liked it. I was completely meh about it. The sweet potato fries were cooked in soybean oil, one half step above Palm oil in my book.

First visit a few months ago was great. Attentive service. Great food. Yesterday's visit was not as good. We waited a long time for our order to be taken in a half filled restaurant at lunch. Finally, the manager noticed and took our order. Two other very friendly servers manned our table after this. It was a bid odd and disjointed. The food is very good for a chain. I love that they have Revolution beer on tap. The space is bright and clean. Free balloons for the kiddos.

This place is horrible. If I could give it 0 stars then that's what it would be. The only reason I went here was because of the catchy commercials, never realizing that any restaurant who had to advertise is probably crappy to begin with. We ordered buffalo chicken tenders for the appetizer- they tasted like they had been made hours ago and were warmed up and splattered with sauce. The "bottomless" fries were dry and hard. The assortment of burgers was wide and impressive, but the quality of the food was just horrible. I felt like I was eating cafeteria food at best. For 40 bucks it totally wasn't worth it, I probably would have done better at McDonald's. Don't ever go here!!!!!

Service is bad, Thursday afternoon with only few customers still wait for 30 min+ for food, never come back

Waiting for a table seems dumb when there are 20 open tables. I asked why and the hostess said because they don't have enough servers. Seems odd that they wouldn't just seat you anyway atleast tell you it will be awhile and get you some drinks. I thought this can be a problem at any restairant but they usually seat you anyway and the server who is there makes a lot more money in tips. Maybe consider hiring more help.

Took the old ladies out to costco and lunch... For a Sunday afternoon it was packed and we waited 15 minutes. Seated and drinks were quickly given. After we got our food though our waitress was hard to reach... She kept pushing booze and we didn't order any and we wanted more unlimited broccoli and it was a challenge to get more. I felt it was on purpose and probably won't go back due to this... What's the point of refills if you can't get them

Red Robin is okay, but it's just okay. I wandered in on my way to Vostco, and thought I'd give it a try. Service was just barely tolerable; the waiter was so low-key I had trouble hearing him. The burger was good, but not good enough to justify its $10 price tag. And those highly-touted fries are just okay. My advice is, skip Red Robin until they get their act together.

I love me some Red Robin and was very excited when the new location opened up SO CLOSE to me. Solid chain restaurant with very good burgers & fries. I had no problem with the wait, I arrived at lunch time on a week day to a pretty packed restaurant but only waited 20 minutes for my meal. Had my favorite, the Prime Chophouse with sweet potato fries and a freckled lemonade. Everything was hot & good, refills were prompt. Best part? Since it's a new location, all the staff are very well trained and extra friendly.

It was okay. The person that took my to go order was very nice. Other than that the food was mediocre and nothing special. The burgers were actually small for the price. I ordered onion rings and paid an upcharge for them, but they forgot them and gave me fries! Nothing that makes us want to go back!

I'm pretty pissed off because I called to make sure they had gluten free hamburger buns. Then I got here and they're "all out." The manager told me I should "whip out my phone" and create a special menu for myself. Really? HOW IS THAT GONNA SOLVE THIS PROBLEM? I'm not happy at all, and I should have just gone somewhere else. This is a new location, so I understand the managers are new at this, but come on. When my burger with no bun arrives, I better get some attention and ass kissing, or I'm gonna raise hell. Fatty not happy. Sooo.... I got my food... A burger with no bun. Lame. It was good, but I'm not on a low carb diet. I wanted bread. :( the managers did not stop by ONCE. Not one fricken time to see if I was ok. That really grinds my gears. When I worked as a server, my boss used to go above and beyond for every single guest who had any issue, big or small. I took my survey, and they asked for my contact info. I have yet to be contacted. Red Robin, I used to love you. You broke my heart.

Dissappointed! Not a gourmet burger place at all! The burgers were ok but they are better at Portillos or Five Guys. The fries are so limited and the wait staff does not offer to refill the fries or the drinks!!! The Raspberry Ice Tea had no sugar and i had to ask two different waiters to bring sugar to the table. They add YELLOW cheese to the salads!!!!! Our waitress was inexperienced and forgetful.....the manager was fast at handling our requests. He was nice...They ran out of red balloons and my two year old daughter wanted a balloon. She was so sad....it was not worth a 45 min wait. Will not be going back.

Food was good, service was awful. Ordered a Bloody Mary with nothing on the rim. When the drink came I was asked if I wanted garnish. I said yes. The manager then brought over 4 stalks of celery and said he would be back with olives. Brought me four olives in a little bowl without any toothpicks to skewer. This was after about 15 mins of ordering the drink. No one ever cleared our table of empty dishes, we had no ketchup on our table and the wait to have our payment processed was horrific. The hostess complained to everyone she sat about how difficult her job was today..."It's so much easy when people don't make things difficult!"

Service was slow. My appetizer came out with my dinner and was partially cold. In a group of six, we had to wait a long time just to get check books for our checks? Really? Can't you guys just print them and give them of us? New place and all, but still... Inexcusable!

Excited to eat here for the first time. Disappointed. Wait was 30 min even thought they had a complete dining room available. The food was mediocre and took forever to get it. Not eating here again.

Food was OK but when i was there i saw numerous of tables not getting service i also seen a table walk out the manger did get them to come back but they walked out because they got no service food is OK but not worth the time it takes to get it. our appetizer came out then two seconds later our food did ...no time to enjoy the app ...they weren't even that busy and was running around like chickens with their heads cut off lol

I wouldn't even spend my money here went there tonight to try them since me and family have never there food before we walked in there was available seating but we was told there was a 20 minute wait and we left as more people came in and they refuse to sit people to enjoy themselves poor this is terrible service

I have eaten here a few times (granted they were all weekdays), and the service I received was great and attentive. They are a little expensive, but I love the banzai burger and strawberry lemonade.

The only thing better then the food was the service... which seems to be very hard to find these days. Cameron was our waiter and from the moment we were seated he was so attentive that it was almost distracting because he was SO NICE... and not in a fake way. Drinks were never empty.. he checked on us literally every 10 minutes. I think our food could have been less then expected and because of that waiter we'd still rate you 5 stars, but it was also great. There was even talk of creating a Facebook fan-page for this guy. When we return we'll definitely try to be seated in his section again. We love you Cameron!!!

Average food, small portions and expensive prices The level of service here is BAD....I mean REALLY poor. The servers could really care less if you have a quality experience or not. We got our appetizers before we even had our sodas? I asked the server if our drinks were coming and she rolled eyes and sighed. Not professional in the slightest. Save your $$ and head somewhere else

Our favorite chain restaurant for burgers! This location seems to ALWAYS be busy - so be prepared to wait a bit. If you're in a hurry, then maybe look for other options. Waitstaff are always super friendly!

As a old ad said years ago "WHERE'S THE BEEF"! For a chain that is supposedly a high end hamburger chain I would never go back. We ordered the Gourmet Cheeseburger and was expecting something they would blow me away. What I got was a thick bun w/ a skinny piece of meat ( all of that for $9 and change) . Other issues, we order the onion rings which came and the server just walked off leaving us w/ no napkin's. That was another 5 min or so to get someone to give up some. Unlimited fries sort of a joke unless you want to hang around and wait and again the fries were nothing special. What they give is small batch of fries to start with ! Onion rings were goo though. Then the burgers arrived and the server walked off leaving us w/ no utensils and still no water that we asked for when we ordered our drinks. Will not be back, grossly overpriced for what you get and the waitstaff has a little catching up to do! Back to Portillos

When to see and try the new place. Burgers expensive waited to long for food and they were not very good. Just a regular burger that's over priced. Will not go back! Waited long to get food. After waiting so long for the food was very disappointed with the food. Had sweet potato fries and suppose to have just made and were luke warm not hot. Salad was also bad. The waitress was very friendly but was lost most of the time. Had 4 other couples that came in after we did and received their food before we did. Will never go back.

For the waitress, she get 5 stars. Don't remember her name. Unlike others have posted here, we did not wait a long time for our check. It was very crowded when we came in last night, they said for two the wait was 15 minutes, did not take that long at all. My root beer float, made table side quickly, then so did my salad and then my cheeseburger. I will agree that the burgers are more bun than meat and the patties need to be thicker and next time I need to remember no pickles because their pickles taste weird and not good!

My husband and I where excited to try this place out, we will just pass by and say one day, so finally that day came... So has soon has we walked in there was a very nice lady to greet us, she then asked if we where over 21 we said yes... Has we walked behind her we saw some people eating some delicious burger and where even more excited to see they where enjoying there burger... But when we sat down we where waiting and waiting and waiting for about 15 min and no one came by to ask if we wanted something to drink, and then when we where about to get up and leave the waiter shows up, we put our order it right away and our drink order to but this guy brings out our food first then our drinks and then he goes in the back for our drinks and takes 10 min to bring then, when he finally gets back my husband asked him for some hot sauce he took another 10 minutes to bring the hot sauce by that time my husband and i where so mad we dis not even use the hot sauce, he asked if I needed a refill on my Coke I replied yes but i never received it, we finished our burgers which where pretty good( Bacon burger and Royal burger). We just wanted to get out of there so we asked for the check and that took literally 20 minutes... This has been the worst experience ever, never going back.

STAY AWAY!!!!!! SAVE YOURSELF TIME, MONEY AND FRUSTRATION! Today, my wife and I decided to take out our friends and children (4 adults, 4 children total) to eat at Red Robin at North Riverside. Friends were visiting and had an urge to try out Red Robin. We had already eaten at this restaurant on the prior weekend (2/7/14) and we weren't happy then. We have been long time loyal Red Robin customers. Needless to say, this restaurant has left us very disappointed. The service here is awful. there is no excuse for it. First, we waited 40 minutes to be seated at a table. We waited about the same amount of time on our prior visit. This seemed excessive. When we finally were seated, we ordered our drinks first and asked for some fries and a stack of onion rings while our friends decided on what they wanted to order. 10 minutes passed before the waitress brought out our drinks but no fries or onion rings. we then ordered our meals. time passed and yet no fries or onion rings arrived yet other tables that were seated around us had already gone thru two orders of fries and drink refills and we were still waiting. at no time did the waitress come around to bring more refills; of which we all needed some. We finally were able to get the waitress' attention and asked her about our fries and onion rings. She was shocked to see that we still didn't have our fries or appetizer. It showed that she had forgotten about us. Very frustrating. When she came back she only had 1 small basket of fries and NO onion rings for ALL 8 of us. Needless to say those fries DID NOT last long. The kids were very hungry. At this time we noticed that the table next to us decided to leave. They got tired of waiting for their order to arrive. they had only gotten their drinks and fries ( and we had been seated long before they were). They decided to take their orders to go. By the time the waitress came with the onion rings and more fries (But NO refills) other tables around us were already being served their main meals. (again, we had been seated and ordered before them) We then asked for more napkins because she only had given us 3 napkins for 8 people. Time passed at which time we had already finished our fries, rings and drinks. We finally asked the waitress about our meals and she stated that because the restaurant was so busy she had put in the kids order first so that they would be served first and that the adults would get the meals later. Well time passed and we saw other tables being served their meals (table that had arrived AFTER us) We asked the waitress again and she apologized again about the delay. She said she had already talked to the manager about our situation and she said that the cooks were ignoring her order. Yet the manager never came to talk to us about us having to wait so long. We had to keep on asking for more fries and drinks and either one got served and the other didn't. Finally about an hour after being seated some other waitress brought us our meals. But she brought the adult meals and NO children meals. They were hungry and kept looking around for their meals. The grown ups had to share their COLD hamburgers with the children. The meals were cold. We all touched our hamburgers and they were cold. The cheese had already frozen. Time passed and the kids meals' didn't arrive. Again we asked the waitress about the kids meals. She went to check and came back with the meals. Again she apologized and stated that the meal had been on the counter and that the servers had ignored them and didn't bother to bring to table. She stated she had told the manager again about our situation. Again, the manager never arrived. Needless to say, we DID NOT enjoy the meal. It was a bad experience. Waitress didn't even credit our Royalty Member rewards like i asked her to. At first we thought this might be due to the restaurant been new to the area and many customers attending. But this has to be the managers'/managments' fault. They are ill prepared. equipped or trained to run this restaurant. We should not be paying $120 plus for cold food, bad service and long waits. When you spend $5 on a lemonade you expect to be served it promptly and often considering you are waiting along time for the main meal. We shouldn't have to keep stopping random waiters to be refilled. My wife and I have been long time customers of Red Robin and have never received such bad service as here. The management team should learn from the Red Robins team in Woodfield Mall. Every time we shop at Woodfield Mall we eat at Red Robins and the service is excellent. Even during the middle of holiday shopping season the service is great. The wait time is a bit long there but it is to be expected considering it is always full at capacity. But once seated the service is great. very friendly and attentive to your needs.

Went in mid-afternoon and sat at bar so service was no problem but the burger was really below average for the price. I think it was $11.00 and totally not worth even half of that. I think it's funny when they ask you how you want it cooked - it's like a 1/4" of an inch patty so how else but well done can it be cooked? The onion rings are good but I won't be back.

Service is awful - the food is decent, when they get it right - which is about 25% of the time. Waitresses wait for you to chase them around the floor to get their attention, then take forever to bring you what you've asked for . Limitless food? Sure - if you can find them to beg for refills - since they're never offered. The bathroom - yuk! Who has those kinds of flush toilets and handle-using faucets anymore? And that Dyson hand dryer that makes you touch it's sides just to dry your hands? Then grab the filthy door handle to get out. Have hand sanitizer with you when you leave!! The menus are dirty and sticky, too!! Makes you wonder how the staff is getting their hands clean - EEK! Yes,, they're a new team getting the glitches out, but someone needs to let them know it's a "service" job. You've gotta hear the servers blame the kitchen or the bar, or whoever - when something's wrong, too. Just say you're sorry and take one for the team! I know you're on tips - but if I ask you for something and you don't bring me what I asked for - didn't you notice it on the way to my table? They're quick to give you the bill - not so fast returning your credit card though - and you have to bus your own table because no one else does. We're done.

Still never got a response after email correspondence. This is why service at Red Robin is the way it is....can't even get a phone call back.

Typical red robin experience. Our server was great and our food came quickly. We went on Sunday night and the place was packed but our food came out with perfect timing. Will definitely return.

Not happy.

only 2 of us.

This place has great burgers and their appetizers are horrible accept for the mushrooms, the aisles and eating area's are to small and tight, bar area has not enough seating.Whoever designed it should have made it 1 big open area instead of 3 small crammed rooms.

Stopped by Red Robin for dinner after work. Waited for service then server took too long --- waited 10 minutes after waiting 10 minutes.. Service was poor - avoid.

  • El V.

  • R Od O.

We're done.

    (4)

    (2)
  • Blanca H.

Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.
